Assassin - Bouncing Shot
Like every assassin cards, this card is a very powerful tool of attack. It's effect can take out an enemy queen unexpectedly from the back row, or from the cover of another enemy piece. Depending on the amount mana used, it can even take two enemy pieces with one move. The warning sign that your opponent is planning to use this card is how they try to position their bishop.
Paladin - Shields Up
This is a permanent card.
According to the paladin play style, this card is not trying to trick your opponent, but to use shear force instead. You can use this card to build up a very strong last line of defense, even to turn the tide of the game. But don't forget, it only works if you have no more than four pawns on the board. If this card is active, your pawns can only be attacked from the side, or from behind. Knights also can only attack your pawns if they started in a row behind your pawns. This card can be very effective combined with the "Paladin - Retreat" card.
Necromancer - Rise of the Dead
An elegant way of an epic comeback. It can be surprisingly effective if used wisely, for example if used together with the "Paladin - Shields Up" or the "Necromancer - Resurrect Officer" cards. It's low mana cost makes it a very common card in Necromancer - Paladin decks.
Sorcerer - Mind Control
Surprise your opponent with a truly unexpected, and powerful move.
No one expects their own officers turning against each other. This card has three effect tiers. You choose which one you want to use depending on your available mana counters. Very effective if used together with the "Sorcerer - Steal Mana" card. With good preparation, you can take your opponent's queen and an other officer with one move. But can you give a checkmate with that same move?
